Great photos!! - I lived in London for a few years in the seventies and patronized Ronnie Scott's many times. In fact, last I heard, my former London flatmate now owns Ronnie Scott's.
Used to go to Ronnie's almost every weekend in the 60"s. The old location was off Wardour St in Soho. The main jazz club was downstairs. Upstairs was a dance club featuring soul and R & B stuff. Used to go upstairs because the entrance fee was affordable. Used to sneak downstairs after midnight to watch the giants of jazz. Took a date to see Ben Webster. Went to the bar to get us some drinks and there was Ben at the bar. Had a little chat with him and ignored my date for the evening. She walked out on me. It was worth it chatting with Ben Webster.
Oh those were the days in swinging London.
