FWIW, the lead alto player I was with last week used one for part of the week. He switched to a 2-screw mid week and I couldn't tell the difference in sound. I did notice, however, that he wasn't accidentally pulling the lig off after he switched -- something he seemed to have an issue with using the napkin ring.
Didn't try the Roberto's lig but once tried a Lebayle ring lig that whould slip and slide while putting on the reed and afterwards.
On sound, I'm really not the one to comment as I still don't "believe" in it too much, especially if the price is high and the lig fails to do it's primary job, which would be preventing the reed from falling of the mouthpiece.
