RIP Mike "Migs" Migliore

The great Mike Migliore, New York City saxophonist (originally from Buffalo NY) has passed. He may be best known for his tenure with Maynard Ferguson's band in the late 1970's. A great player and by all accounts a great person.

Damn....that sucks. One of my favorite alto solos and one that inspired me for quite a long time. I hadn't seen that live version before. Here's the studio version that (I believe) gives a better example of his great sound, etc.
