Bari Sax Diva...Sad news...very sad. I played there with Jennifer Hall years ago, and loved the room, it was a jazz room. Another gone...and really not to return either.

Along with Cape May Jazz Festival...which has also bit the dust.

Sad, played there a couple of times. As Tim wrote, it's gone and not coming back.

The sunset zone for any great jazz venue is 10-20 years. There is just something about great music that assures it will not, cannot, perpetuate itself past one generation.

The marketplace always has the last word, whether you defy it or cave in to it. So why not go out swinging?

This is very sad news. Over the years I have heard Plas Johnson, Don Menza, Brandon Fields among other legendary saxophonists. I was planning on going back within the next few weeks. Sad...
