Absolutely horrible news. What a great musician. I loved his playing since junior high school. I've posted about him a few times here as well over the years. He was suffering for at least 20 years if I remember correctly.

He set the world's ears on fire after that first album came out. There are videos on YouTube of the early days when they were still the opening act. Eddie's playing is just beyond belief, especially his solo.

Oh yeah, that was the Women and Children First tour, 1980 though. Fair Warning was released early in 1981.
