Has anyone ever played one of these? How does it sound? Also, is it considered a jazz mouthpiece or a classical mouthpiece?

-Thanks

Riffault was known for clarinet as well as sax pieces. They supplied sax makers, including SML, with stock mpcs. They also were sold under the name Ideal.

I own a couple Riffaults (soprano and bass), but they're R3s. There were R2, R3, R4, in SATB + bass.

I'd call it an all-around piece - mine have a slight U shape to the chamber. I'd compare them to the French-made Woodwind mpcs from Leblanc. Very easy playing with a delicate edge.
