Hi everyone,... I know Rico reeds are around a half strength softer than Vandorens when it comes to orange box vs blue box. But what about Select Jazz vs V16? I'm nearing the bottom of a box of Vandoren V16 2's and was wondering what the RSJ equiv would be,... 3 Soft, 2 Hard or 2Mediium? I wouldn't really mind if the Rico's turn out to be a tic harder in the end, it's been suggested that I start thinking about a harder reed. But I don't think I'm ready to jump a full half step,... given everything else is equal. Thanks!

yeah,... so pretty much like the orange & blue thing. I'm familiar with that push-n-pull. After the post, I checked out a few comparison charts, which I should have done in the beginning, and it's looking like the RSJ (is it RSJ or RJS?) 2H and 3S hover around the stiffness I'm looking for. Both Vandoren's chart and Rico's chart zero in on pretty much the same conclusion,... with Vandoren saying their reeds are a little harder than Rico says, but still, pretty much the same conclusion. Will order a box of 2H and 3S! Thanks everyone.
