A great spirit that chose her stage name after a freight train that ran through her hometown of Teaneck, the Phoebe Snow. Her first record had sax solos from jazz legend Zoot Sims. My kinda hero & creative woman. This is a special Rico Blog just for her, from me. Thank you Phoebe.

A great way to honor your friend Phoebe like that Tim. Didn't know her, but the clip with Zoot says enough about her place in musical history.

Also a great story on the blog on Dexter's performance. I guess that ballad must have sounded like what I have seen of Dexter in 1979 in The Netherlands. See this thread in case you would like to check the youtube clip of Dexter playing 'Laura':

A BEAUTIFUL SOUL. YES.

I met her only that one time-I always dug where her artistic direction was. She certaily was a person who I would of loved to get to know better- she had a charm that was very sweet. Yet- you can see from my story that she KNEW the deal. Otherwise she would of been NOT at a Dexter gig.

Anyhow, it hits ya when someone checks out- and you know the " dues" they paid and all.
