I purchased this Ridenour Libertas Bb clarinet in 2015, and have been playing it for nearly five years. I have never had it serviced! The keywork has held up well, and it plays just like it did when I bought it, thanks to it being made of hard rubber rather than wood. I still have two pro level wooden clarinets, but I end up gravitating toward the Ridenour because of the superior tuning and voicing. In this video I play a mellow ballad called Among My Souvenirs, circa 1927. In the second chorus I take some an improvised jazz solo in order to demonstrate the Libertas in a jazz setting. Hope you listen and enjoy it!

There are innumerable wooden clarinets that still play the same way after five years, or much longer.
