Hi, all

Are you an arranger, too?

In case you're interested, I'd like to share a modest collection of articles I've written about arranging.

Most of these articles deal with the sorts of things you don't find in arranging books:
  • Tips for being productive and meeting a deadline.
  • How to write horn parts that sound like they're an original part of an existing song.
  • Where to get melodic-rhythmic ideas for horn parts
  • Considerations for writing an arrangement that supports vocals.
  • Looking at Nelson Riddle as a paragon of efficient, intelligent arranging

Anyhow, I invite you to take a look at these. And feel free to contact me with any questions (or suggestions!).

Now, go sharpen your pencils.

All my best from Pennsylvania,
~ Rick
