I recently bought a nice Lawton Baritone mouthpiece (after months of looking for one). It plays great and sounds great. However, the plating at the front of the table has worn of and my reeds are becoming green during practice. Since I’ve read some stuff about some brass mouthpieces containing more led than one would want, I am not really keen on sucking the substances coming off my mouthpieces from my reed when wetting it. I am also one of those people who get green skin from the contact with bare brass, so I don’t really feel comfortable exposing the inside of my mouth to that.
Therefore I am looking for recommendations of mouthpiece makers in the EU that could replate the mouthpiece. I am not looking to have the character/feel of the mouthpiece changed, just the plating.
