Hi,
I've taken a 20 some year hiatus from playing and have come to find that vic olivieri has gone out of business! As this was my favorite reed for my C* while playing solo and ensemble work I need a replacement. Does anyone have a good recommendation?

Well I know this post is kind of late, but since no one has commented, better late than never. I'd recommend going to Vandoren's. They are a great reed, very responsive and give a nice crisp tone. There are different types, the Blue Standard Box, the Red Javas, Green Javas, the V16s, the V12's and the ZZ's. For more information on any of these reeds see the Vandoren site:

Of course there are other reeds as well, but the reason I'm promoting Vandoren so much is because I'm an extremely satisfied customer after using Vandorens. Hope this helps and best of luck to you.
