I have a series VI Silver Sonic with the very high serial number of 675XXX. It plays very well, but in the future I might trade up to an older Silver Sonic andI am wondering what this one might sell for...
they sell with great difficulty and although they usually look very nice the market acceptance is very low indeed due to a mix or rumours and facts. I have had a non silversonic alto of the same series as yours and intonation was not great while the way it was made was no worse than my Eastlake 460XXX. Your best bet is to put it on ebay ad hope that (if it looks ad good as some of these look) it will attract someone who is oblivious to the less than flattering press that these horns have (on this forum you don't stand a great deal of a chance) . I have seen some going for around 1500$ to a maximum of 2000$
