I've got this Brilhart Tonalin with some hairline cracks inside the shank. I found this clip by MojoBari on YouTube for reinforcing the shank using a ring from a ring sizing kit and some epoxy. It worked like a charm! Was under $10 to fix and only took 15 minutes. Not to mention it also looks great and doesn't cover the "Tonalin" scrip on the shank.

I did the same for my Steamline using a very thin hose clamp with a small screw part. Not the most beautiful solution, but it is removable so the engraving is not permanently covered.
