Go to a crafts store like Michaels and look at the small wooden boxes they sell. It is much easier to find something that will work for under $5 and use that than to spend hours trying to duplicate something. What is the case you are doing? I generally use 3M #77 spray glue for the large areas, contact cement (tube) for the stress areas and a glue gun really cuts down on time.
