After 30 days since my initial take, I am putting an end to my blue monk project with this final take!

To begin, here is my initial version:

And now for my grand finale (maybe not as grand as some were hoping). I hope you enjoy and thank you all again for all the assistance throughout. I'll continue to develop and work on everything everyone has suggested to me through my endeavors on this tune, and try to apply those focuses on more tunes. Maybe a year or many from now I'll come back to this tune and see how much I have improved! Here is my final "Red and Blue Monk:"

Yes, you improved, your sound is better, the head is very well played, the solo has a logic, you know where the chords are.
You should use the same articulation on your solo, you should play some sheet of scales using the same articulation but don't get mad with this, stay yourself, you add articulation, scales and some of your madness and it would be better and better.

Thanks Lionel!! I love that phrase too " add articultion, scales, and some of your madness" :) I definitely intend to do so in my future endeavors. I laid it back a bit, and over-articulated as usual, but I was still trying to dial that back. I also stayed mostly diatonic just to please myself, hopefully I can add more madness to my other tunes. It was a great project. Thanks for the help

I did hear a big improvement in the notes you played Jared, can clearly hear you did put in the work.

Sound wise I didn't hear that big improvement, in my ears you sound a bit brighter and more 'closed' in the upper register when played at low volume.

Good job! :)

Nice work Daddyo!

I also heard a definite improvement over the month. It is a favourite track of mine and I like the way your solo maintains a strong sense of Monk's wacky tonality!

Bill
Much thanks! I love to throw in some craziness in all my songs ?

Much appreciated as well Peter! Gotta keep working on my tone though. Although I can't say I dislike the brightness, just wish it was less shrill ?
