Really serious help required

Firstly I would like to apologize if my questions have already been answered in other posts but i really need the help.

I want to learn how to play the Sax, Ive never played an insturment before. I did try to play the bass guitar but the shop sold me a really bad chinese one and i spent a year thinking i was really bad at it when it was really the guitars fault.

I live in Karachi, Pakistan and I havent been able to locate a sax anywhere around here. I was thinking of importing one but i need your help to not repeat the fiasco which happened with the bass.

I want to buy an Alto (brand new, i cant get a second hand one repaired around here..), a good mouth piece and the reed thing.. ( do i need anything else?)

I have a budget of 500-600 plus international delivery charges.. do i need more? i cant use ebay since i dont have a credit of my own.. i'll be purchasing with my friends card when i order it online..

Also I want an alto with a darker sound as someone already said in an earlier thread that its easier to get a brighter sound out of a dark sax and not when vice versa. oh and im a really big fan of jazz and that was the main motivation to play the sax..

Can you please tell me where do i order online from.. which brands and which trusted websites.. also the other things like mouthpiece and etc. any website in america or uk.. or anyother country.. if its closer to mine.. delivery would be cheaper

Im really sorry again.. but the only instruments that you can easily find in my country are guitars, drums and pianos and i have no one to turn to for advice.
