Rash on My Optimum!

My Optimum Lig, from Vandoren, has rash formed (green).

How can I clean it?

Don't know how you can clean it, but that rust-colored plastic bag is supposed to prevent damage to the finish - provided you keep the ligature inside.
If I had a rash on my optimum I´d better see a doc in a hurry.

Sorry, couldn´t resist.
so what now it looks old and cool. Just like my optimum looks. I mean seriously who keeps it in the bag it came with? 90 percent of the time my horn is put together on its stand. I simply don't practice enough when my horns are in their cases. Oh yeah and I'm super lazy so that may have something to do with it also.

Same thing happens to me. I lightly sponge the lig in water and dry it off. Problem solved.
There's a nice polish called "Mr. Metal" that should take care of the problem.
There are various ointments available at any good Apothecary.
Of all the nonsense! Are you marching on the street?
Metal polish for a ligature. Now I've heard everything.
