I am wondering if anyone knows of someone who has any experience with refacing Rascher bari mpcs. They come with a really really small tip opening, IMO. The problem I am having is just getting this sort of reedy sound instead of a completely pure sound. Perhaps there is someone that I can talk to about this and figure out exactly what will need to be done, etc etc

MojoBari did a fantastic job on a vintage Bundy (Buescher blank) for me, opening it up to about .100. The bari player in my quartet uses it now and he sounds great.

I bought a Rascher bari piece (new) that looked like it had been faced with a file. It's not unusual to have flat spots on them near the tip.

I've done a few of them, opening them up to somewhere in the .080-.090" range. The stock opening goes anywhere from .063-.068".
