I'm going to post a link to this rare track without saying who is playing, nor where and when it was recorded. (Feel free to guess!)
Hope it's enjoyable.

andre251, glad you enjoyed it! ilikejam and daigle65, impressive! You nailed it. Dexter Gordon from 1977 or 1978, with George Cables on piano, Rufus Reid on bass, and probably Eddie Gladden on drums. The tune is called "A La Modal."

When I found the mp3, it was marked "Live at Hill Auditorium, Ann Arbor, Oct. 21, 1977", but the
Oct. 21 1977 concert was actually at the Power Center in Ann Arbor. He did play "A La Modal" at that concert, but there was also a Sept. 22, 1978 concert at Hill Auditorium and I've seen "A La Modal" in a setlist for that one as well.

He also played the tune on tenor, e.g.:

A bunch of other mp3s that circulate as "Live at Hill Auditorium, Ann Arbor, Oct. 21, 1977" are definitely from a concert on that date at the Power Center. Fried Bananas, On Green Dolphin Street, Body and Soul, Antabus, The Days of Wine and Roses (all on tenor). Good stuff, you can find it on the internet.
