Gordon you will be well missed. A dedicated professional to preserving the craft and the betterment of people as musicians. Not forgotten soon.
Gordon’s last post was on August 2. My birthday. We had a few private messages during August. “ My daughters are doing well dealing with this because I am.“ was his last and final reply. I was concerned when he did not reply to a private message September 10.
Godspeed Gordon

Wow!! Very sad news. He always had an educated opinion that he wasn't afraid to share, wether or not you liked it. "Brutally honest" is the best way I think about it. The whole package of his input will be missed.

So sad. What a selfless gentleman who always shared his talent freely. You will be missed Gordon by me and countless others here on SOTW and I’m sure many others who you connected with in life.

I remember years ago staying up late at night arguing back and forth with Gordon about the minutia of where the reed touches the tongue when tounguing on the saxophone. Once we both got that out of our systems and realized how much alike we were, we became the best of friends. Gordon Palmer was a unique and gifted woodwind technician who shared freely what he knew with the rest of us. Rest in peace Gordon. You will surely be missed.

Yes it was coming...it was no surprise... and in his last communication here he was preparing and arranging for his family.

Very knowledgeable guy, very key member to this Forum and I had a lot of respect for him.

Sad news, his absence will be felt.
