I've never had a problem getting roo's from Curt at Music Medic. I live in Chicago and I think Paul's a good guy. I'm not a fan of the Joey Grey's at all. My understanding is that they are Ferees pads that have the leather removed and the kangaroo skin put on. Now that doesn't matter if the pads are fine for the purpose but my real issue with the pads is that they take a very deep seat - as in all the way down to the backing. While the horn feels broken in right from the start they seem problematic over the long term when it comes to adjustment.

As a result of all of that I have made the choice to put roo pads on three of my horns. I prefer the white roos and am having them put on a Keilwerth stencil tenor that I recently picked up. This will make horn number four with roos.

I'm sorry the Joey's just don't compare in my book.
