Not quite the birth notices but thought I'd share the news of the addition to the family. I thought I was a Yamaha man until recently. I was looking to upgrade and tried out the black lacquer 82Z but also in store there was a reasonable 40 yo Selmer mark VI and a Keilwerth SX90R black nickel finish. The Mark VI was nice but just didn't do it for me and the 82Z was an evolution not a revolution from the 62 sound I was used to. The Keilwerth sound just clicked for me straight away, unfortunately no Shadow to test for 4000km so I took a punt. In the flesh it is absolutely stunning and has given me a whole new depth of sound I wasn't sure existed for me.

Congratulations! Great instrument with a really unique tone, (unique to other Keilwerths too) quick response, and intonation like nothing else. Enjoy!

I just got one used for a really good price, and it's the best tenor I have ever played. I think I'll keep it for a very long time.
