Bags (from Spain) has a nice soprano bag, but the s800 doesn't fit in well.

ProTec . . . I have two different straight sopranos with fixed straight necks in ProTec cases, vintage and modern. I also have a MKVI clone from Taiwan that fits in a Protec.

If anything affects the fit, it would be the position of the bell pads and the design of the palm keys. Vintage sops, including MKVI and earlier Selmers have their bell pads in one location while modern sopranos have them positioned differently on the tube. But with the ProTecs that doesn't seem to matter with my horns. Same non-issue with the different palm keys. DAVE

I don't have a specific link but many Internet and brick/mortar stores carry them. Look at WW&BW's on-line catalog.

The ones I have are years apart and the design has evolved as time went by. The latest ones seem to have movable padded blocks in them to help better stabilize the horn. I don't have one with the movable blocks.

The case is a rectangular, ballistic-nylon covered shell with a perimeter zipper. The handles on the latest models fasten together with velcro. I found them to be a great way to protect the horns while at the same time being light enough.

Some would argue that the horn may be too loose but my take on that is that even the sturdiest and heaviest case will allow for damage to a horn if the case is mishandled or dropped. I don't mishandle my cases and I don't drop them (knock on velcro-covered wood).

One SOTW poster to whom I recently sold a TT soprano didn't like the ProTec and ended up buying something else for his TT, just so you know that not everyone thinks they are the hot ticket. But that is what happens with gear. I like the ProTec for my straight sops. DAVE
