Greetings fellow saxers,

So, I've recently bought P Mauriat 67R Alto and was wondering if the original case, that comes with it, is any good?
I own a protec that is very similar, but I can feel that the inside of it is different. I am content with my protec so far, but the P Mauriat case has more pockets and seems a bit lighter?

Any advice would be appreciated!

PS I'm riding a bike daily to the studio, so I need to be sure any possible damage that happens could be safe for my PM Baby right now.

The bicycle part could be problematic. I have had a PM67R for 12+ years, and never upgraded the case. It has taken multiple moves across the U.S. with zero issues to the horn. It is a very strong case, however, I don't know if I would trust it for biking around, where there is a chance of falling. While there isn't much that could protect a sax from falling from height at 15-20 mph, I'd feel safer with a very nice hard case - maybe BAM or Walt Johnson. It would be less comfortable, but worth the protection.

Indeed, Protec top model is an hardshell case ( not the cheaper ones), as far as I know the P.Mauriat is made by Protec , you can easily tell if it is an hard shell, but I think so, the last one I had certainly was
