I am looking for a tenor case for my daughter's school loaner, the school's case is pretty shot, and the horn is kind of loose inside the case. Horn is a Yamaha YTS-23. I have seen ads for the Protec Max rectangular case, MX305, for less than a hundred dollars in a number of places. Seems like a good case for the money, some questions though, is the inside a molded rigid foam under the liner? Or more like an open-cell foam that is soft and you push the sax into the cavity? Are these tolerant of some rough handling? School case looks like it has taken some abuse, or it might just be pretty old, or both
Thank you
