Hey guys...I can't seem to push my martin as much as I can my series III. This is needed in the big band I'm playing in, and while I do really like the martin, I just have some troubles being heard.

Even with a jody jazz classic (talk about a loud mouthpiece) it seems to not project as well as I'd like. I know there is a problem with the horn though. The neck isn't getting a good seal with the body. I'll get some pictures.

Does anybody else have that problem? or is it just me?

I think you should get the horn checked. I noticed no reduction in power when I switched from an 82-Z to a Martin Alto - if anything, I get more with the Martin (though the brass resonators Tenor Madness set it up with may have something to do with that)... Played both with a Morgan 6E.
