As you said there are factory mouthpieces, hand-finished moutphieces and handmade ones. All of them play if properly made. Usually a completely hadmade mouthpice requires weeks of work (sometime months) and the price is consequently high. The good thing is that it can be made accordingly to your specifications and needs. But anyway 50 plus another 250-300 for hand finishing and plating and that sounds like a ballpark number to me. 350-400 for a really fine piece. Am I off the mark here Phil? Thanks!
