I couldn't find any other threads describing my problem.
So I recently got my new(not so new) Vito Duke Tenor. It is an oldy but a goody and It has an amazing dark, smooth tone. I haven't had to the repair shop recently so I can't tell If the problem is me or the instrument.
Anyway getting to the point...when I play a regular G around p or mf it sounds like it tries to skip up to an A while trying to play the G. The same thing happens when playing and F and E, they both try to jump up to the next whole step while still playing the note it is supposed to. I begins to have a distorted sound....HOWEVER, when I play these notes at a solid F they sound completly fine. Only when I play them quietly do they act up.
I can't tell if this problem is my fault or if the suspicious looking pads are too blame. Does anyone have any insight to these problems?
