I'm a longtime member who's bought/sold on the forum for years. suddenly I can't participate in threads in any of the marketplace sections. I'm certain that I didn't do anything to violate forum rules. what steps can I take here? (I've emailed the webmaster twice, no response...)

Have you tried contacting the moderators? They are the ones that set privileges at the site.

The marketplace is read only

To clarify for moontom: since the 2019 change in marketplace rules, only the thread starter can add posts to his/her For Sale thread. Other members can no longer reply with questions or comments - these have to be addressed directly (1:1) with the seller by PM.

thanks for the responses....while I was aware of changes to the Mktplace boards I somehow missed this change to read-only, which makes a ton of sense. thanks....

I've now changed the notice on the marketplace forum to make it more obvious.
