I've been looking at a tenor which I am interested in s/n T 37xxx L. It has a front top F which I thought came in later in the twenties. Can anybody tell me when the front top F was introduced, and the likely model?

I am not sure if that is a New Wonder or a Wonder model. As far as I can tell, the front F was around in the 30,000 range.

As an aside I was reading a post of yours very recently on the Selmer forum here, and your post count was 13079 which was exactly the s/n of my SSS or maybe NLB tenor.

Bruce, my reply about the post count wasn't quite accurate as I sold the horn about 10 years ago. One of my greatest regrets. It's the the only horn that I have sold over the years that I can remember the s/n! So, sorry, but much as I would love to send you the horn, it can't be done! Nice to hear that there are a few 'expats' over there. And Bruce, I'm can't be as old as you as I can't remember 1776!
Asking price for the horn, which is well buffed, is in dollars about $500

Not a problem for me. I'm usually serving as piper at Burns suppers, which means I don't have to worry about procurement of the Haggis.

I usually imbibe in the Scotch, and forget about the sacred sausage anyway.:bluewink:

I bought that tenor Beezer. Did a rebuild on it. Posts, springs Roo pads etc. Was well worth the 245 quid!
