I don't personally know him, but I know our clarinet faculty is really excited about his involvement. It seems like a pretty strong list of performers, sax and clarinet. I'm really looking forward to it.

I saw Alcides perform at the big clarinet convention in Atlanta last year, and have to say that he's absolutely brilliant. I spoke with him about the possibility of playing for him this year, and then totally forgot. Thanks for the reminder!

Well, this year's summit is over.

I enjoyed many of the performances, but I wanted to say a special congratulations to the Penn State Quartet that played in the Prism masterclass. David Stambler is doing some really nice work over at Penn State. . .
