I am not sure what you mean by “ better” there are 3 types of necks ( which for reason unknown people call shivers in Italy) the difference is mainly the angle of the neck, what is it that you are chasing with your neck quest?

the best thing that you may be able to do is to go to Matthews with your saxophone and spend some time to try the necks against your neck and then see what (if anything) the necks will do for you

the tests and other things will only give you an indication but NO answers

They are called regular (or low), X and double X

You may be able to get a different neck, but you may already have a good one.

What is it not doing?

I dont have the sax , yet .., just doing some research before considering to buy…

I have read here that the Mark II neck solved intonation issues for some..

and that the sax takes a lot of air because of the big bore..(maybe not so beginner friendly)

as you can hear from the tests, the least of the “problems “ is intonation.

Anyway, on the internet you can find anything and its opposite everywhere, get the horn play it, don’t obsess trying to fix things that aren’t even there for you

I noticed you changed the flag from Dutch to Belgian , anyway take a trip to EDAM and try the necks which they have.

I would email them directly and ask, they are quite responsive.
+1.

Check what they have available at the factory.

I rememeber back in 2018, they modified again the bore and the profile of X and XX necks.
Since that, those two necks have a little lower profile.

I do appreciate a lot what Simone is doing to help the company on social networks, providing media and informations.
Although I do not consider that comparison video 100% reliable for the purpose.
