hey,
so i've been playing alexanders for a little less then a month and i like them a lot. But when i play i don't get a clean tone and i feel like it is too thin. Should i move up a half step in reed size? I'm using the classique 3 1/2. Thanks

What kind of mouthpiece are you using, and how long have you been playing? What style of music are you playing them for?

You will not get what I think of as a "clean tone" out of a DV. When I think of clean tone, I think of a classical player's sound. The high baffle in the DV is probably what is causing you to sound thin. If you can find something with a little less baffle you will probably be happy.
