Hello, I have spent days researching our Sax trying to identify so I can properly list it. I think it was made in Japan in 1976. There are so many variables that is difficult for me to put proper value on it. Can someone help me please? Tnank you very much!

It was made in June 1978.

As far as the make, it's either an A-4 or A-5. Given the bell-to-body brace and the lack of a High F#, I'd call it a late A-4. I think it was made with leftover parts, so the internal part of the body could be an A-5 - but without Yanagisawa's actual records or the sale receipt we have no way of knowing for certain.

What we can be sure of is that it is not an A-50, A-600, A-800, or A-880.
