Agreed. The street band/brass band I play with is the only group of mine doing anything. Haven't missed a week since this started.

love the music but you won't get me near them. Even outdoors, you gotta worry about airborne secretions if you are in the vicinity.
And with that many brass players it's really scary. Not to mention that if anyone in the group has the virus, their proximity will spread it to others.
And they're young, which makes it even more dangerous to others, since there's a good chance they will remain a-symptomatic. If I saw a
band like this approaching I would run the other direction.

I was actually surprised that our entire group has been coming out to play since April. Just the right combination of ignorance and recklessness, as I like to tease them. Great to hear your group is playing as well Martin. Really enjoyed hearing your clip back when we traded charts. As for the group linked to in the first post... no saxes. And they're kinda stiff. Sure they must have some fun with other tunes though.

Still trying to work more new charts in as well! It's been a great stress reliever for everyone to be able to spread out and play with good social distancing, since we don't need any electronics it's even easier.
This clip I love the chords, the charts are pretty simple with someone doing improv over the top. It really seems more like this is a video of a parade practice, otherwise why are they marching like that with no audience around?

Well, we're trying to go in the other direction with more head arrangements. In fact, almost exclusively these days when we learn a new tune. Even the trumpet players... go figure.
