Yes, vibrator, a famous model. I am not sure whether you may point to some sexual innuendo .

There were reeds and mouthpieces called vibrator too.

I used to use 16mm film projectors made by a company called Elf, the sound lamps were called exciter bulbs, I would occasionally need to order a new Elf exciter. It always amused me anyway.

Only one time (elsewhere here on this forum) have I read anything derogatory about L.Pierret / Pierret saxophones.

Q: were there ever any bad saxophones made in France with the exception of the MkiV? ;-)
