I was looking at solos to perform for Texas UIL Solo and Ensemble and I really liked the sound of one of the Tango Etudes. I can't seem to find the sheet music for it since it is apparently out of print. Would you kind fellows know where I could get a copy of it? (The unaccompanied version is what is listed on the PML so I do not think they would take too kindly to the piano+saxophone score).

Thanks.

The unaccompanied etudes have been supplanted by the version with piano accompaniment, it would seem.

Why not just get those, and play them w/o the piano?

Thank you! I don't know why my googling skills failed me this time.

UIL has specific rules... we have to bring our own original copy of the score for the judges to use and it has to be from a specific list of publications. The unaccompanied score is listed while the accompanied one is not so I can't use it at contest. Otherwise I would gladly take that route.

You may want to point out to them that the publication in question is listed as out of print by the publishers, Lemoine.

I'll shoot them an email. I also found this little note on the list:
"Any unabridged edition by a current copyright holder of a selection appearing in the PML may be substituted. The director of the performing organization shall be responsible for providing verification that the substitute edition is unabridged".

Maybe they'll take the accompanied one. I will ask my band director. Thanks again!
