I have his album and will try to encode it once the home studio is back together. Phil is an awesome player... I know that he fell on some hard times in the mid-1980s and was working at a dry cleaners in the 1990s. He had stopped playing for several years. I talked to him perhaps ten years ago and he said he wasn't playing but was listening all of the time. I'll see if I can track him down.
Phil Delibero anyone?
Has anyone seen or heard from Phil Delibero in the past decade? I studied with him in high school in CT in the 80s, he went through some tough times, and I eventually lost track of him. He was a mother of a legit player and a Phil Woods-inspired bebop player.
