Does anyone here have any experience with the Phil Barone Baritone Sax? If so, what was your experience with it, and is it (in your opinion) worth the $ ??

I bought one 3 years ago and use it as my main bari. I had to adjust the low B pad, nothing else since the initial setup. Intonation is very good, it plays easily, and was a great value in my opinion.

DavidW thanks for the response!! How is the projection, and what set up are you using on it? Did you have to experiment with your setup till you found the one you're at now, or were you just fortunate to get it on the first try?

Projection is fine, especially with a good baffle. I have played it with a Florida Link STM, a baffled Link Tone Edge, Greg Weir piece (similar to a Meyer), Berg stainless, and some various hard rubber pieces. All are playable with minimal intonation problems.

I currently prefer the Link STM for all around playing and the baffled TE for more punch and bite.
