Perry's work is top notch, he is down to earth as well and perhaps the most experienced tech in NYC currently. Why are you asking?

Why do you think? I need to get some work done on a valuable horn and I'm looking for somebody I can trust.

I would not trust him with my saxes. I've brought a horn to him for adjustment on three different instances and I don't think he did good job any of the times. In the last instance, I felt he actively discouraged me from trying the horn out when I picked it up. Why did I go back three different times? 1) he is accessible; 2) he has fast turn around times; 3) my sax teacher and my assistant at work both think he is the best.

I had him overhaul my SBA soprano about eight years ago and he burned the lacquer all over. I’ll never take him anything ever again. The job was also poorly done.
