Well if you have 500 students to give mouthpieces to, I would go with the BARI Esprit. In that quantity it would cost a bit over $5,000 total. The Esprit is a great cheap mouthpiece for all saxes. I would prefer the Protone but it is about 3X the price. If money is not an issue, I would go with a Selmer S-80 C**. All around a good mouthpiece.

If you decide to go with the BARI Esprit, let me know and I will get a price on quantity. That $55 price sounds way off. I was selling them for about $15 with the cap and ligature. Maybe they bumped the price up. Actually the tip is the same opening as the C* but the chamber is more like a Meyer. If I had to, I could play a job on one and nobody would know the difference. The Tenors are quite similar to a Link 5* which is my choice for concert band.
