I play primary tenor and soprano saxes,but sometimes also alto.In order to work in some context I decided to learn some flute.So yesterday I found an opportunity in a shop that I thought was good.I bought a pearl PF 501 flute new for 200 euros.A friend of mine who is a killer flutis told me that the pearl is as good as a yamaha YFL 211 and in his opinion is even slightly better.But he is a flutist and so he obviously hates cheap instruments.do you know this flute?What do you think about it?

I have a Pearl 501 I use as my outdoors flute. It's a good flute for the money, although mine is in need of adjustment.

I'm surprised you found one new, since I thought Pearl stopped making that model and now has the 505 which is pretty much the same thing with pointed key arms.
