No matter what others may say, I <3 my 11m. That thing is an absolute BEAST with none of the intonation or tone problems that others seem to find. Could be I just got a really nice one (thanks again, Jaye), could be that the horn just works for me...who knows. I have run into a couple problems in regard to build, however.
I have been playing piles of blues and soul in a horn line lately, which is starting to take its toll on the horn. I've noticed that my left hand pinky table keeps getting thrown out of whack and the rods are starting to show some considerable play. I took my B rod off last night and the poor thing is almost gone; I can only assume that other rods are on the way to being the same.
With that said, I need to find some parts for the girl. I haven't been able to find much regarding swapping parts from the much more common (and easier to find as a parts horn) late 60's 12m. Ebay has been no help as of late - any suggestions on where to look? Hell...if anyone has an 11m for parting out I may be up for that, too!
