The number one destination for your listening pleasure. It's a radio that only plays music you like, non stop no commercial no gimmicks. It's real simple, choose a song or artist, and the satelite radio will pick the genre and give you a wide variety of music that you enjoy listening to.

Example, select John Coltrane, or a name of a song we will choose "My favorite things", it will pick up the elements that create that style of music for you to enjoy. I play it day and night at home, all over the house, and I highly recommend you going there.

So I put in MY FAVORITE THINGS, then selected the Coltrane version but it played something "similar" by Coltrane. Said it must be my pop-up blocker (on a Mac?).

Then I put in EGYPTIAN FANTASY and it came back with it listed as a Sidney Bechet tune (true), but played something similar (WILD CAT BLUES, another Bechet recording made 35 years before he recorded EGYPTIAN FANTASY), again because of a pop-up blocker.

Too much trouble for me. I prefer www.redhotjazz.com (although they have no Coltrane, but that's okay by me). DAVE

Yeah, it doesn't do specifics for songs--just styles. However, if you type in any single musician (ex Coltrane), it will begin the series with one or two of Coltrane's tunes and then it will move on to similar-sounding musicians/combos.

Awsome glad you guys like it. And if you choose a song name they can't play it right away because they don't have the authority to do that, but after 20 songs it will play. If not sooner, so it's best you choose an artist and you will hear tons of other great artits who play the same style of music. I created about 7 stations, got to have Jeff Lorber on, Gerald Albright, GRP All-Star Big Band, the YelloweJackets, the Crusaders and can't forget about Bill Evans..

Unfortunately, they can see that I have a Spanish IP address, and have told me it's not available here :(

Great link! I created a Michael Brecker station and they played a live recording of someone other that Brecker but it's great! The only problem is that it does now show who the artist or song is..... it's just blank. I would love to know who it is!

www.pandora.com was interesting and may have some possibilities, but I didn't like that a) I couldn't get it to work in Firefox, b) you have to wait a few songs for even the artist you wanted and c) when you type in a son gor artist it doesn't have in the DB it pics one that has absolutely nothing to do with the artist I picked.

Although it did say, on one occasion, "That sounds like an interesting song. We will tag it for review."

last.fm is impressive. It even has tracks from Peter Schickele.

Hey thanks for the heads up. I really enjoy it.
Pete, works fine for me in Firefox as well.

what I like about Pandora is it gives you "similar" music to the artist you chose, and even more neat is that it learns what you like if you give thumbs up or thumbs down to the songs. I sometimes put it on at work for background.

I totally dig this site. I create stations of music I like, and it plays "like" music, which for me is even better than playing what I tell it to, as it plays things I haven't heard before which I may very well like. Cool technology.
