I just picked up a 1937 BA alto engraved with the usual sailboat. However, this one has PALM TREES instead of the log cabin.

It's also got a strange octave mechanism. Any insight on this would be appreciated.

That part touching the body on the octave key is the high C# adjuster which is bent out of adjustment. It is supposed to close the rod on the small C pad to close it on C#3 part or all of the way to keep high C# from being really high.

Too sad... dammaged bow and upper stack... **** happens... hope you can fix it easily and get a good Selmer collector!!!
