Up until Covid hit, I spent summers in Paris, playing music every night and teaching art every day for Purdue at Louvre, Pompidou, Orsay, etc... Here's a painting I did of sunset on the Seine from Pont Royal. That's Orsay on the left, and the Grand Palais I the distance. This is from 2016, and the Seine was flooded up over the side walking paths and roads.

I was one of those kids who didn't know what he wanted to do, so I went to art school because I could draw a little. I recently found an old portfolio in my garage with a few drawings and a lithograph from art school back in the 80's. I was studying fashion illustration at the time. I would eventually change my focus to Art criticism & Filmmaking. I haven't drawn or painted in 30 years at least, and sadly, I don't miss it. Art school kind of proved to me that I was no Artist. I was just a kid who could draw a little.

Your watercolors are beautiful. So much movement. Watercolor is tough because what you don't paint is as important as what you paint. It's the "Birth of the Cool" of art mediums.
