Wow, someone has found their niche! Clearly a talented artist and light years beyond the average hack job painted sax! I know there’s been thousands of comments dedicated to a whether or not a horn’s finish or plating can effect sound quality. I’ve gotta believe a layer of paint and multiple coats of polyurethane would have an adverse effect if one wanted to play the horn!

Pontius, the Jack Russell reminded me of my childhood dog "Spot" - I almost shed a tear! Spot was a Jerk Russell terrier but I loved him. Seriously great work.
Really wonderful work, especially in handling the glass bottle!
Excellent. This is very difficult and you demonstrate good technical proficiency.
Thanks everyone. I went from making paintings to painting houses. Maybe regressing, but I'm happy for the moment.

Looks like we all get to see the titles Rembrandt, I mean "Pontius". I like your Eye Sleeve Art Painting Cap

Fun thread! There must be more artists out there. I've always admired people who could paint.

@DarrellMass posted a painting he was working on recently in the Members MIA thread. Darrell, if you see this it would be nice to see your art posted here as well!
I guess this is what you want me to repost in this thread?

My daughter painted this a few months ago for my birthday. It’s called “Tools of the Tade” done in acrylic paints. It has the likes of Andy Warhol style. The black and white squares represent a checkered flag.

Love it! She did a great job with the shading and having the checkerboard pattern influence the lines and shading of the tools and WD40. Very creative!
