Neighbor in the apartment building in Brooklyn was a tight buddy with Marc, the Ramones 2nd drummer.
My neighbor made a truthful piece of art for his senior project at Pratt.
A small wooden box, with two doors and glasses, similar to those in the pic below.
A dose of reality for his classmates.

Along with those Rockers he had other friends, as one afternoon he knocked on my door and came in with the bassist for Rick Derringer's band.
They must have heard me playing bass as the bassist said, "A real musician".
My reply, "you need to get to Carnegie more often".

Project below was started after the last Blow tore up the neighborhood.
When completed it will be called....
Skating the Storm.
Sculpting in liquid plastics and fabrics feeds the clan. A Sealuge from '92, prior to add ons.
Still in service for fishing chores.
Two very different ones after that and one that will fly.
I need to live forever. :D

not in the same league as some of you artists here. Fantastic talent on display.

but I’m a bit of a painter myself.

I call this my “ white period”

just have to remove those two nails , fill the holes, a bit of sanding, and I’m ready.

hardware store is quite close, and I’m thinking one can of beige emulsion and a 3 inch brush might be best.

You might consider leaving the two nails. I find them pretty psychologically compelling, and compositionally they lead the eye and draw in the viewer.

It is hilarious the titles Artificial Intelligence is attaching to these thumbnails when I open them! Does everyone get that or is that a firefox thing?
Looks like we all get to see the titles Rembrandt, I mean "Pontius". I like your Eye Sleeve Art Painting Cap

Fun thread! There must be more artists out there. I've always admired people who could paint.

@DarrellMass posted a painting he was working on recently in the Members MIA thread. Darrell, if you see this it would be nice to see your art posted here as well!
