Hi!

By "unusual" I mean that our band doesn't have drums or bass at all. Our band consists of rhodes piano, guitar, a cajon drum and a tenor sax (that's me). If you want to hear a sample, listen to this!

This is legendary Chalemeon:
(it's a live recording, sorry about the bad sound quality)

I was just wondering do you have any bands that have "not so standard" instrument line-ups?

Cheers!

One unusual band which I play in is based in Norwich Uk , called Saxobility .
I was started by a great repairer , Mark from Topjoint in the city , who sensed there was an opening for people of all abilities to play in a group . That was 2 years ago, and now we have around 18 sax players and a drummer !, playing arrangements of all Kinds of music from jazz standards , Musicals, The Classics. and number like the Muppets and Yakety Sax - it is great fun , is a great sound , and we also do some Charity Gigs.
Our Conductor is Anne Smith , and if anyone would like to join- details are on www.saxobility.co.uk

When I was living in Korea I was in a band called The Pickles--two guitars and alto sax (me). We played stuff like "Lola" and "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald," and we ROCKED!
